Research interest

Funded projects:

(i)                  CSIR has sanctioned a project and we have started to work on the expression of the gene for sucrose phosphate synthase in Banana fruits.

(ii)                Two projects are likely to be sanctioned by DBT, Govt. of India. One is on cloning trans-acting factor from Tomato, the other is on production of transgenic rice overexpression OSBZ8.

(iii)               With Prof. A.N. Lahiri Mazumder, I am acting as Co-PI in a DBT sanctioned project on Poteriscia quatcata ( Wild rice )
