Bose Institute was founded in 1917 by Acharya Jagadish C. Bose. The institute is a an autonomus organization fully funded by Department of Science and Technology. The institute has three campuses in Kolkata, one a Rajabajar, one at Salt Lake and one at Kankurgachi. The one-day satellite symposium will be held at the Kankurgachi Campus (also known as the Centenary Campus). The land mark building is ESI hospital (on CIT Road) located between Kankurgachi and Ultadanga. The Centenary Campus is on a small road that connects ESI hospital with the E. M. By-pass and is within 100 meters from the hospital.
